Gary's imaginary job working for Ron is starting to catch up with him, and he's struggling for money; until he hits upon the idea of taking pristine 1940s items to the 1995 and selling them as collectables. While in the 1940s Gary enters a talent contest to try to win a new radiogram for Phoebe. Meanwhile, Yvonne is heavily into her drama group and lands a lead role opposite a very good looking actor, much to Gary's chagrin.
