Republic of Doyle: Jake and Malachy Doyle are private investigators in St. John's, Newfoundland. When a boyhood friend of Jake's is put in jail for manslaughter of a drug dealer, the Doyles take the case to find out who really killed the man, who had many enemies. Meanwhile, in his personal life, Jake has to deal with his impending divorce from his beautiful wife while also trying to get on the good side of the sexy new Police Constable in town.
