The adventures of captain Mih�ly T�m�r, who aids a persecuted Turkish Pasha and his daughter in their escape across the Donau. After the Pasha dies, the captain acquires his fortune and marries his daughter. She loves officer Kadisa, yet remains faithful but distant to T�m�r. During his passage along the Donau, T�m�r met No�mi, and when he returns they eventually fall in love. How will his double life unfold?
