On a windswept British seaside farm, border collie Gail gives birth to three puppies named Storm, Drift and Mist. After Gail's crusty but lovable father, Sir Gregory, sizes up the puppies' sheep-herding potential, the female Mist is chosen as the most promising of the trio and begins training.
