In this case, Sherlock Holmes agrees to investigate a strange series of deaths in a village, who inhabitants that had killed a prominent family that were thought to be vampires a century in the past. These deaths appear to be linked to a man who is a descendent of that family and seems to be something malevolently supernatural about him, much like a vampire himself.
